We handle information about users (“User Information”) of the services we provide (“our Services”) as follows.

Article 1 (General Provisions)

  1. To protect User Information, we comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, ministry guidelines, and other related laws and regulations.
  2. This Privacy Policy (“this Policy”) applies to the use of our Services. Where we separately provide rules on the handling of User Information, those rules shall also apply; if such rules conflict with this Policy, those rules shall prevail.
  3. This Policy does not apply to services provided by parties other than us (“External Services”). For the handling of User Information on External Services, please refer to the privacy policies established by the providers of those External Services.

Article 2 (Definition of Information)

  1. In our Services, we collect “User Information,” including personal information (meaning “personal information” as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information; the same applies below), as follows.
    1. Information provided by users
      • (a) Name, address, telephone number, email address, date of birth, gender
      • (b) Bank account or credit card information and other payment-related information
    2. Information we collect
      • (a) Access log information
        Information automatically generated and stored when using our Services, such as IP addresses, request date and time, and operation history within our Services.
      • (b) Cookies and anonymous IDs
        Cookies are an industry-standard technology by which a web server identifies a user’s computer. Cookies can identify a user’s computer but cannot identify the individual user. You can disable cookies by changing your device settings, but some or all of our Services may become unavailable as a result.
      • (c) Device information
        Individual identification information such as device-specific IDs.

Article 3 (Proper Acquisition of Information)

We acquire User Information properly, without deception or other wrongful means. When we acquire User Information by means other than through the user’s use of our Services, we will notify or announce the purpose of use in advance.

Article 4 (Purposes of Use)

  1. We handle User Information acquired through the use of our Services appropriately within the scope of the following purposes, and will not use it beyond that scope without the user’s consent.
    1. Identity verification
    2. Communications related to the use of the Services
    3. Verification of bank account numbers and credit card validity for payment
    4. Provision, quality improvement, and enhancement of our Services
    5. Notification of suspension, discontinuation, or contract termination of our Services
    6. Responding to and preventing violations of the terms of use of our Services
    7. Notification of changes to our terms, policies, etc. relating to our Services
    8. Distribution of advertising revenue to users
    9. Responding to disputes, lawsuits, and the like
    10. Responding to inquiries and providing information about our Services
  2. We may change the above purposes of use within a scope reasonably recognized as relevant to the original purposes. If changed, we will notify users or make an announcement in a manner we separately determine.

Article 5 (Provision to Third Parties)

  1. We will not provide personal information among User Information to third parties except in the following cases.
    1. With the user’s consent
    2. When required by laws and regulations
    3. When taking necessary measures against acts that harm the interests of others, offend public order and morals, or otherwise violate the terms of use of our Services
    4. When necessary to protect a person’s life, body, or property, and obtaining the person’s consent is difficult
    5. When particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound development of children, and obtaining the person’s consent is difficult
    6. When cooperation is required for a national or local government agency, or a party entrusted by them, to carry out affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the person’s consent may impede those affairs
    7. When the business including the user’s personal information is succeeded due to a merger, company split, business transfer, or other reasons
  2. We may provide User Information to business operators (“Partner Companies”) that provide services in partnership with our Services (“Partner Services”) in order to provide Partner Services to users.

Article 6 (Entrustment of Personal Information Handling)

We may entrust all or part of the handling of personal information acquired from users to third parties (such as entrusting the management of information including personal information to a business operator). In such cases, we will conclude confidentiality agreements consistent with this Policy in advance and exercise necessary and appropriate supervision to ensure proper security management by the contractors.

Article 7 (Joint Use)

We may jointly use users’ personal information with Partner Companies to the extent necessary to provide Partner Services. In such cases, we will announce in advance the names of the Partner Companies, the purposes of joint use, and the types of information to be jointly used.

Article 8 (Information Collection Modules)

Our Services may incorporate the following information collection modules to analyze usage, advertising effectiveness, server status, and statistics, and we may provide User Information to the providers of these modules. Information collected by these modules is managed under the privacy policies and other rules established by each module provider.

Article 9 (Security Management)

  1. We take necessary and appropriate measures to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of User Information and otherwise manage User Information securely.
  2. Our representative director serves as the manager responsible for User Information, implementing proper management and continuous improvement.

Article 10 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information)

If a user requests suspension of use or deletion (“Suspension of Use, etc.”) of their personal information under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the announced purposes of use or was acquired by deception or other wrongful means, and the request is found to be justified, we will, after confirming that the request was made by the person in question, carry out Suspension of Use, etc. without delay and notify the person accordingly. This does not apply where we are not obligated to do so under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations.

Article 11 (Users’ Rights Regarding Disclosure of User Information)

  1. Users may request disclosure of the personal information we hold in accordance with the following procedures.
    1. Please submit your request via the designated form on our website, or by mail enclosing the documents necessary for identity verification (or, for requests by an agent, verification of proper agency) with the application form. For written applications, a fee of 1,000 yen is charged per application.
    2. When identity has been verified for a request under the preceding item, we will disclose the personal information to a reasonable extent, except where we are not obligated to do so under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations, or where requests of the same content are repeated without justifiable grounds.
  2. If the personal information we hold about a user is inaccurate, the user may request correction, addition, deletion, or suspension of use in accordance with the following procedures.
    1. Please submit your request via the designated form on our website, or by mail enclosing the documents necessary for identity verification (or, for requests by an agent, verification of proper agency) with the application form.
  3. When identity has been verified for a request under the preceding item, we will investigate without delay to a reasonable extent and, based on the results, correct, add, delete, or suspend the use of the personal information. This does not apply where we are not obligated to do so under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations, where requests of the same content are repeated without justifiable grounds, or where excessive technical work would be required.

Article 12 (Changes to this Policy)

  1. We will review the operation of User Information handling as appropriate, strive for continuous improvement, and may revise this Policy from time to time as necessary.
  2. The revised Policy will be announced on our Services or on websites we operate, or by other easily understandable means. However, when changes require users’ consent under laws and regulations, we will obtain users’ consent in a manner we separately determine.
