Double Tonguing

Japanese name
ダブルタンギング

Double tonguing is a technique that alternates two tongue motions so a wind player can articulate fast notes clearly.

How to use it

Practice with a metronome from a slow tempo and make the two articulations even.

How it differs from related terms

Tonguing is the basic articulation, and double tonguing is the extended form that alternates it.

Check not only speed but also the evenness and the accents of each note.
